- American Vegan Society: The American Vegan Society is a nonprofit educational membership organization teaching a compassionate way of living that includes veganism.
- Food For Life: Food for Life is a nonprofit organization that distributes vegetarian meals to needy people around the world. The project started in 1974 when an elderly Indian swami begged his students not to allow anyone within a 10 mile radius of his ashram to go hungry. Today the group is active in over 60 countries and distributes over 1,000,000 meals a day.
